Careers Guidance Journey

Slide 1 of 6
- Clare Rowe, RCDP - d'Overbroeck's School, The International Section, Oxford

Charlotte has undertaken careers appointments, attended our careers fairs and delivered presentations at d'Overbroeck's. The support Charlotte provides is always knowledgeable and professional. We appreciate the upbeat and relaxed nature of her presentations and 121 guidance and value the real industry experience she brings to sessions.

- Sadia Azad, Head of Senior School Careers, Berkhamsted School, Hertfordshire

Charlotte has always been a pleasure to work with but most importantly, feedback from our students is always hugely positive. Students value her positive and practical advice and guidance and find her approachable and warm. As well as individual guidance, Charlotte has helped us at Careers Fairs with parents also finding her personal and clear approach of huge value.

- Daryl Summers, Web Content Manager at Swindon Borough Council, CIHCM

Charlotte was recommended to me to help navigate my career pathway, identify opportunities, and gain clarity on my professional development. From the outset, her support, encouragement, and expertise helped me transition from frustration and uncertainty to confidence, self-belief, and strategic thinking. I am truly grateful for the impact she has had on my journey. Over three sessions, Charlotte guided me through structured self-reflection, helping me articulate my skills, strengths, and values. She enabled me to recognise not only how I arrived at my current role but also why I deserve to be here. Her ability to listen, ask the right questions, and challenge my perceptions helped me move from a place of self-doubt to one of assurance and motivation. I wholeheartedly recommend Charlotte to anyone seeking professional growth, career clarity, or leadership development. Whether you need guidance, a fresh perspective, or a supportive coach to help you organise your thoughts, Charlotte is outstanding in her field. Thank you, Charlotte, for your incredible support and expertise, you have made a lasting impact on my career and confidence.

Mrs D Seward Careers Leader, St Bartholomew's School.

Charlotte has been providing careers advice to our students since September. She very quickly settled into our school and students have commented on her friendly and professional approach. Year 11 students received 1-2-1 interviews and Charlotte prepared an individual action plan for each student and shared on Unifrog. Y12 students are generally attending in groups of three, based on their specific area of interest. Charlotte has also supported our events during apprenticeship week and careers week by holding a drop-in lunchtime session in the library which students found very useful. Y11 students also had the opportunity to attend a drop-in session before they left for study leave. We are very pleased with the excellent service that Charlotte has provided.

“As a Year 12 student, I found Charlotte’s support very helpful. She came to our session very prepared with a range of summer programmes and course options tailored to my interest, taking the time to look at different career pathways. She also advised me to have a strong, skills-based CV. Her advice left me more prepared about my future.”

I am delighted to recommend Charlotte as an Independent Careers Guidance Practitioner who has made a real difference supporting Year 10 and Year 11 students 1:1. Charlotte proactively engages with each student, offering personalised and impartial advice that inspires confidence and motivates our students guiding them to explore their best options for sixth form, college, or apprenticeships. Charlotte is approachable, professional, and communicates clearly with both students and staff, consistently going above and beyond to support the school’s careers programme.

Pathways to Purpose

Slide 1 of 4

Charlotte has been very supportive and offers her time to many people such as myself, helping to discuss over my skills and interests to discover a career path I’m interested in. Enabling me to decide on the correct career for me and route in order to reach this, proving very useful when trying to get into such a competitive industry. Recently I have been offered an apprenticeship in the insurance industry, which I have accepted. Charlotte offered lots of guidance and help in the process leading up to this opportunity. Charlotte is a great person to know, and will always be willing to help. I would not hesitate to recommend Charlottes advice.

- James Maxwell UCO Apprentice @ Beazley / Financial Services (ex-pupil)

Charlotte has been fantastic in helping me to kickstart my career. She has exposed me to multiple connections and helped me develop my network. Charlotte was brilliant, as she identified my strengths, in order to help me decide my career path. I couldn't recommend Charlotte enough!

- Ella Rowley, Cabin Crew for Virgin Atlantic (ex-pupil)

Charlotte helped me develop my network and my professional skills. Charlotte was incredibly helpful in expanding my understanding of the working world and how I could start my career. This information was not only crucial for the start of my career but has also helped me two years later as well. She is able to identify your strengths and is also able to guide you on how to improve. I could not recommend Charlotte enough!

- Ben Lyttle, Assistant Estimator (ex-pupil)

I had my careers appointment with Charlotte and felt that she was really invested in my specific area of career pathway, she had read around the job role and was very informed on all the different pathways and educational requirements I would need to achieve this. Charlotte not only helped me in the careers appointment but also advised my peers who were also considering a job in the same specific field. I would 100% recommend Charlotte to anybody whether they are set on a future career, or need more knowledge on the options available to them.
