Hello, I am Charlotte, a Level 6 qualified Careers Advisor, Morrisby Approved Practitioner and founder of Brighter Careers Coaching.
I provide friendly, impartial 1:1 careers guidance for students, both privately and within schools. Private sessions are available in person from my home in Wargrave or online and include the Morrisby psychometric assessment.
Whether a young person has no idea what they want to do, feels overwhelmed by the options, or has some ideas but needs guidance, I help them understand their strengths, skills, interests, qualities and values and explore the pathways that could suit them.
Together, we can look at career ideas, sixth form and college choices, university, apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships. Following the session, each student receives a personalised action plan with tailored resources and clear next steps.

What to Expect in a Careers Session
Personalised 1:1 Careers Guidance & Coaching
My personalised 1:1 careers sessions are designed to empower students, helping them better understand their strengths, interests and potential, and make informed and confident decisions about their education and future career pathways.
As part of my 1:1 careers coaching, I use Morrisby Psychometric Profiling, a comprehensive assessment that explores a student’s aptitudes, interests, personality and preferences. The results provide valuable insight and form an excellent starting point for our discussion, helping us explore career ideas, subject choices and education pathways that are genuinely suited to the individual student.
What’s Included in a 1:1 Careers Guidance Session - I use a variety of approaches to ensure every session is personalised to the individual student:
✔ Introduction & Goal Setting – A relaxed introduction to understand where the student is now, any concerns or uncertainties, and what they would like to gain from the session.
✔ Morrisby Psychometric Profiling – We review and discuss the student’s Morrisby results, exploring their individual strengths, aptitudes, interests, personality and potential career suggestions.
✔ Exploring Interests & Strengths – A wider discussion around career ideas, skills, qualities, values, favourite subjects and areas the student may wish to explore further.
✔ Education & Career Pathways – Impartial guidance around appropriate options, which may include A-Levels, BTECs and other vocational qualifications, apprenticeships, degree apprenticeships, university and alternative career routes.
✔ Personalised Action Plan – Following the session, the student receives a tailored action plan bringing together the areas we have discussed, useful resources and clear, achievable next steps. This provides them with a practical roadmap they can return to as they research their options and make future decisions.
✔ Summary & Questions – Time to recap the session, answer any questions and ensure the student feels clear and confident about their next steps.
As a professionally qualified Level 6 Careers Advisor and Morrisby Approved Practitioner, I provide impartial, personalised careers guidance informed by current labour market information and ongoing professional development.
Many schools also use Unifrog, and I am experienced in working with the platform. Where a student already has access through their school, I can encourage them to use their existing Unifrog research alongside our session and action plan, helping to build on the careers work they are already completing at school.
With extensive experience supporting students across independent, state-maintained and grammar schools, I offer both face-to-face and virtual 1:1 sessions, with every session tailored to the individual student and where they are in their education and career journey.

I have used Unifrog for many years and am highly confident in navigating the platform to support students during guidance sessions. I regularly use its features to explore career pathways, search for courses and apprenticeships, and assist students with personal statements and applications.
Unifrog is a comprehensive careers and destinations platform that helps students explore their future options, whether through university, apprenticeships, or direct employment.
It offers interactive tools such as personality quizzes, career matching, and searchable databases for courses, apprenticeships, and work experience. The platform also supports students in writing personal statements, CVs, and cover letters while allowing schools and career advisors to track progress and provide tailored guidance.

Each 1:1 session is designed to identify your strengths, interests and aspirations, explore suitable education and career pathways, and set clear goals for moving forward.
Following the session, you will receive a personalised and detailed action plan that brings together everything discussed during your 1:1. This includes relevant career ideas, education and training pathways, useful resources and links, and practical next steps tailored specifically to you.
The action plan provides a clear roadmap that you can return to after the session, helping you research your options, keep track of what you need to do next and make informed decisions with confidence. It can also be a useful reference when discussing future choices with parents, schools or colleges.
