About me

Thank you for visiting Brighter Careers Coaching.

I am Charlotte van den Berghen, founder of Brighter Careers Coaching, a Registered Career Development Professional (RCDP) and qualified Level 6 Careers Advisor.

I am passionate about helping young people feel confident about their future and make informed decisions about their education, career choices and next steps. I work with students in schools across London and the surrounding areas, as well as providing private one-to-one careers guidance.

My approach is friendly, impartial and centred around the individual student. I believe young people should have the opportunity to explore their options without feeling pressured to have everything worked out too early. By getting to know each student and understanding their strengths, interests, aspirations and what motivates them, I help them explore the different pathways available and gain greater clarity and confidence about what might suit them.

Above all, I want students to leave our sessions feeling positive about their future, with a clearer sense of direction and practical next steps to help them move forward.

I also hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, providing parents and students with the reassurance of a safe, professional and trusted careers guidance service.

NETWORKING

Building a strong network is one of the most valuable things students can do when starting their careers. Connecting with professionals, mentors, and peers can open doors to work experience, internships, and job opportunities, giving students a real insight into different industries.

Through networking, they gain support, guidance, and firsthand knowledge that helps them make informed career choices. As a Careers Advisor, I help students develop these connections by providing access to career events, industry contacts, and practical advice on securing work experience and internships. Schools benefit by giving their students the tools and confidence to build relationships that can lead to future success, ensuring they are well-prepared for the competitive job market.
